Baby Shark

Is a baby shark male or female?

The gender of a baby shark can be spotted by finding the claspers. All male sharks have two claspers located on their underside. Claspers are rod like structures used to transfer sperms from male sharks to female sharks.

Shark reproduction

Fertilizations in all sharks occur internally. However, some sharks give birth to live shark babies while other shark mothers lay shark eggs. The number of shark offspring (baby sharks) can range from one baby shark pup to one hundred shark babies.
