Question: Anyone know of any really good Natural History Museums in California?

I want to know if anyone knows of really good Natural History Museums in Cali. It’s hard to tell from just websites and such. So know any good and interesting ones?

Answer: The best is the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It was recently rebuilt to state of the art standards. It includes a very large aquarium and a planetarium.

Question: Are there any living history museums in or near Los Angeles?

I’m referring to places in which people dress and act as if they were living in various historical eras. Examples of these include Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia, and Greenfield Village in Dearborn, MI. Are there any comparable places near L.A., or anywhere in California?

Answer: The Mission San Juan Capistrano and Old Town San Diego
