Death Valley California and the Death Valley National Park is located in Southeastern California and parts of Nevada. As the hottest and driest spot in North America, it’s no wonder this area is named Death Valley. Artists Drive is a scenic route along Black Mountain foothills. Scotty ’s Castle, built in the 1920s as a vacation retreat, is a popular tourist attraction. Rangers dressed in period clothing conduct tours.
